Christmas Nail Challenge - Day 7

Saturday, 14 December 2013

Hello lovelies,

Well, guess what? Today means that we have reached day 7 of the 12 Days of Christmas Nail Challenge. Yay! That means we are over half way through. While this challenge has been really fun and definitely something I would do again, I do feel my enthusiasm waning a little. It's hard to have to stick to a schedule of when I need to paint my nails - I'd rather just be allowed the freedom to do them when I want to. Although, saying that, I generally paint my nails every 2-3 days anyway. It's just occasionally that I really can't be bothered doing them. Today was an example of such.

Anyway, back on track, today's prompt was 'Inspired by a Christmas Movie'. I chose 'Sleepless in Seattle' , which might not be the most Christmassy of movies, but it was Christmassy enough for me. :)

This is what I came up with.

This is meant to represent the Seattle skyline, with the space needle on my ring finger. Okay, so it isn't really a Christmas movie but I really can't be bothered doing them again. The only reference to Christmas is that the movie really kicks off at Christmas time, with a radio show asking people what they want for Christmas. A kid rings in and says that he wants a new girlfriend for his dad, since his mum just died from cancer and so he's feeling pretty lost.

My reference for the Seattle skyline was this picture, as I don't actually know what it looks like, having never been to Seattle myself. P.S. I may have chosen this while watching Frasier (it's a TV show) simply because it looked easy and I couldn't be bothered to do anything else...

Here's the link to the rest of the ladies works for today, so go, check them out.

Oh, and I used a white nail art pen by Glamnails and 'Blueberry' by Mode.
