Hi lovelies,
Today's nails are not quite as Halloween-y as others have been, but I feel that it's enough to warrant lumping them in with the rest of my Halloween nails. :)

I'm back to black and white again (what is with Halloween? Why is there so much black and white??). I was really happy with the way these turned out - I feel that they really show off my improved freehand skills. :) Also, a major bonus is that only one person didn't know they were cats. And that person is the same sister that thought these were Shaun the Sheep so she doesn't really count, as least in my book :)
Also, that bottle is pretty cool, isn't it |
I also used my new Glow in the Dark nail polish over the white, so that in the dark, the black would show up as a sort of silhouette (I was rather proud of that idea, to be honest). And, the idea worked perfectly, except that I didn't have camera to capture it on. In my previous dark shots, I have used my wonderful Olympus XZ-1, but I've lost the charging cord to that and so I haven't been able to use it for a couple of months... However, I've ordered another one so it should be up and running again in a couple of weeks. If you're wondering, The camera I've been using instead is a Canon EOS 650D. However, for all it's positives, it is absolutely rubbish at taking pictures in the dark and I tried all the other (considerable amount of) cameras in my house but no such luck. Also, the glow in the dark polish didn't keep it's 'charge' for very long, which made it even harder to photograph.
All in all, I wasn't able to get any half-decent pictures (ie. pictures that even partly showed the nails) so you'll just have to believe me when I say it was pretty cool. :)
For these, I used
Snow Me White by Sinful Colors (white)
Black Out by Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear (black)
Glow in the Dark by Fantasy Makers - which is a spin-off from the company Wet n Wild
And it was all topped off with Poshe's Super Fast Drying Top Coat
And I even tried my hand (hehe) at photographing my right hand for a change. Obviously I need a lot more practise, but it's better than it has been in the past. But also I was very proud of how well my painting came out on this hand. I think that the writing on this hand is maybe just a little better than on my other hand (shock horror!).
Hope everyone is having a lovely day and I'll see you all next time! P.S Check out the rest of my Halloween nail designs here.
