Hey lovelies,
So, I have a slightly different nail design to show you today. It's been cooling down in Perth recently (I even had to use my duvet all night last night!) and I got really excited to use some of my cooler colours, instead of the super bright ones I've been using recently (well, except for my storm nails).
I also really wanted to use my matte top coat more since I almost never use it. I'm not really sure why, since I really like a matte look. Anyway, based on those constraints, this is my final design
I really like it and I love that red! It looks more red and shiny when not mattified (obviously) but with the matte top coat, I think it looks a bit more vampy. Here's a picture in the sun, so you can see the difference.
At the moment, the matte top coat I'm using is Mode's Matte Top Coat, which is okay, but I do find it a little streaky and sometimes you can see visible brush lines (which really irritates me). Previously, it has sometimes smeared my nail art design when applied, which really made me cross, but it was alright for this design. Why? I have no idea. I did leave my polish to dry for a little longer than usual before applying top coat, so that might be it, but really, I have no clue. :)
I was way more happy with these that I expected to be, and I'm just stoked to have nails that are smooth and lovely to feel (other than my Lily Allen ones, which were soooo bumpy, courtesy of the super old green polish I used).
For these, I used Wine Not by Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure (red and pictured) and Black Satin by ulta3 (black), all topped off Mode's Matte Top Coat. The rhinestones are from a nail art wheel by Sportsgirl.
Hope all my fellow Aussie's are enjoying the return to the land of decent temperatures.
