Multi Dot Nails

Tuesday, 15 October 2013

Hello beautiful people,

You know what I love about the holidays? That fact that life slows down. Not just my life, but all of my family’s as well. With four children, my mum has a full schedule in making sure the household doesn’t fall apart and with so much homework and study, me and my sisters hardly get to see each other.

Which is why I love the holidays so much. Life slows down and we can take it easy. In fact, my mum even let me paint her nails the other day – which is a rarity. While my mum does enjoy having nicely painted nails, hers are always a lot simple than mine.

But she said I could do them, although I think she nearly had a heart attack when she saw all the colours I was getting out… Although I still think that 4 colours is not a lot.

Oh, and I'm also sorry for the not quite perfect pictures - I just realised that her index finger has a chip and I know the cuticles aren't the best...

Anyway, for these I used a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and the dots were Australis Titania (pink), BC Company Shade 12 (blue) and BC Company Shade 16 (green).

My mum tried to persuade me out of doing something so ‘complicated’ on her nails, but I continued and it didn’t even take very long and it looks so good! My mum really likes them and apologised for doubting my judgement. Ha! See – I know what I’m talking about. :)

By the way, I've updated my Philosophy and Story (now known as my Disordered Story) pages, to more accurately reflect me. My outlook on life as changed dramatically since the beginning of this year, when I first started this blog and I want those pages to reflect that. So, if you want to know a bit more about what I believe in and my journey along the road to recovery from anorexia, head over to those pages now. :) I've also created a tumblr page for all my nails, so if you are interested in seeing all my designs so far, just click on the 'My Nails' tab at the top of the blog. :)

And, in case you were wondering how my job interview went - I got it! I am really happy and really excited to start working at Typo, which is a stationary store, but with a twist. Actually, I don't really shop there but my sisters do and they are excited for my 50% staff discount. :)

What do you like about your holidays? Do you feel the need to go somewhere different for you to feel like it is a 'holiday', or are you content to stay and home and just chill and relax?
