60s Psychedelic Nails

Hi lovelies,

Today I have some 1960’s inspired nails for you. It was my friend’s 18^th last night and so I obviously had to have nails that co-ordinated with her 1960s theme.

These nails actually went really well with my dress, which I can’t find any decent/recognisable pictures of, so you will just have to imagine it. It was a mini-dress with three bands of colour – red at the top, purple in the middle and pink at the bottom. I had some great knee-high chunky heeled black boots and a poufy hairstyle and I thought I looked pretty good. ;)

I wasn’t overly enamoured with these nails – they were nice, but I thought I could have done better. I think a lot was to do with the colours – in hindsight, the colours were too similar, but I chose them because I wanted them to match my dress. Oh, well, I thought the design was nice and quite psychedelic, so quite appropriate. I used 3 colours by Essence, but I couldn’t find the shades or numbers, so you will just have to make do with pink, purple and red. :)
