How are you all today? I myself am feeling rather fabulous as I am sporting a brand new manicure, complete with sparkles! :) Unfortunately, my enthusiasm for life is somewhat dampened by the fact that tomorrow, I have to return to school… :( I dread it. School is the bane of my existence. I’m not even exaggerating. The sooner I get out of school, the better my life will be. In my personal opinion, November just can’t come soon enough…
But enough with my moaning. My nails are currently sporting a lovely pale green with a beautiful silver glittered feature nail – enough to perk up anyone’s day. Hope you guys enjoy the little tutorial I’ve put together for this manicure.
(Lastly, do you think it’s bad that the only reason I’m not having a complete meltdown about having to go to school tomorrow is that at least it gives me a chance to show my nails off to people other than my family?)
Green Pastels with Glitter
Pale green nail polish (I used Sweetpea, by Australis)
Silver nail polish (I used Silver Dollar, by Revlon)
Silver glitter (I used some fairy glitter I had lying around but any fine craft glitter will work)
Top Coat
Here is the nail polish and glitter I used (yep, I know - that glitter was super-expensive and really hi-tech) :P
1. Paint all fingers except ring fingers with green nail polish
2. Paint ring fingers with silver nail polish with one less coat than you normally would apply (so if your nail polish needs three coats to be opaque, only apply two)
3. Apply another coat of silver and while polish is still wet, sprinkle silver glitter over the nail (I found that it was best to do the silver nails after the green ones were dry so as to not get glitter on the green ones)
4. On both thumbs paint a small heart with the silver nail polish and sprinkle glitter over it while still wet (don’t forget to shake off the excess glitter)
