Nail Art Inspired By: Cath Kidston

Friday, 20 June 2014

Hi lovelies,

Well, this post was meant to be up a lot earlier, but then I forgot that I was going away for a week and so, it didn't get posted.

But, these nails... I really love them. Like, a lot. These are definitely one of my favourite designs this year, if not my absolute favourite.

They were also inspired very heavily by the works of Cath Kidston. It took me a long time to come around to liking her designs, mostly because they are very floral and am not generally a very floral person. However, I can't deny that some of her stuff is just lovely.

While my design wasn't taken exactly from one of designs, this was this image I used most in my planning and drafting stage. It's pretty nice, isn't it?

For these nails, I used
Be Bold, an unnamed blue (the background on the blue nails)
Bright Light by BYS (yellow)
Rush Hour by Models Prefer (dark pink)
Palm Cove by Rubi Shoes (light pink)
Grass Slipper by Sally Hansen Complete Manicure (light green)
Snow Me White by Sinful Colors (white)
And I made the dark green by mixing Grass Slipper with Black Satin by ulta3 (black)

The studs are from the Born Pretty Store and if you use the code ASCX31 you can get 10% off your order! :)

And I know I keep asking you to make allowances for my slightly dodgy pictures but please continue to do so. I have no clue why these turned out so grainy!! Ergh... Photography is tough...

Anyway, that's all from me. I hope everyone is having a lovely start to the weekend and check out the rest of my Inspired By series here.
