Extremely Lovely Blue Nails With A Bit Of Gold

Tuesday, 10 June 2014

Hi lovelies,

Okay, weirdly enough it's been way longer since my last post than I thought, but oh well. Surely you guys know me well enough by now to now that my posting is erratic at the best of times.

So, these nails I just adore, pretty much because I love this blue to pieces. I picked it up on a whim but love it way more than is rational or logical. Oh well...

The pictures aren't quite true to life in that the blue is a little darker than these pictures show. It's too dark for an electric blue, but too light for a royal blue. It's quite close to ultramarine blue, but a little darker. Actually, matching shades is really fun! I probably be doing this for all my polish colours for a while. :)

As you can see, my winter photography is getting a little better, but it's still not as good as I'd like it to be.... Oh well, onward and upward. I'll just have to keep practicing.

The polishes I used for this were
Endless Blue by Sinful Colours (it's just a really pretty blue alright?)
Midnight Fireworks by Face Of Australia

I also just really like Midnight Fireworks. It's part of their Carnivale range and is a textured polish, whicch I love but also it's so gold and beautiful! Pretty much, I just really love this manicure because pretty polishes!

The gold strips are striping tape, which I got from the Born Pretty Store. You can find the tape here and if you put in the code ASCX31 you can get 10% off. :)

Please excuse the hair on my little finger. I literally just noticed it as I was proof-reading this post just before posting it

Also, in case any of you were wondering, I have not forgotten or abandoned my Exercise Series (first post here and second one here. It's just that my last section is not coming along as well as I would like. In the meantime, you'll just have to look at many more pictures of my nails. :)
